Interior design and construction - 2016

I was approached to design a bar and a light interior fit out for a new wine bar in in the up and coming bar street at Plaska near Albertov in Prague 1. I played with the geometries of the main counter, eventually creating a semi cantilevered board supported at the far end by a single tapering leg, cut out from two pieces of oak which were glued at an angle to create additional suppport for the finger joints which attached to the counter board. The counter is birch ply with oak leaves and two diagonal oak braces mortised into the board around the corner.
